I also don’t recommend activating “Configuration per Core”, instead you should have multiple configs and load them whenever appropriate. Pressing “Esc” (or equivalent) while running a game will NOT save your settings on exit, though. I also recommend activating Windowed Fullscreen Mode, IIRC it’s like borderless windowed, allows for easy Alt-Tabbing.Īre you sure you aren’t forgetting to save the settings? RA can save on exit (not recommended if you use it as a standard emulator with a GUI), or manually, or it can save to a different config, of course. In video settings in the GUI (Video>Use Fullscreen Mode), or you can run from command line with -f argument. I also randomly pressed F1 and discovered that’s how you get the options for the core, I did’t know that before.
The emulator also starts in fullscreen as well now. I read in another guide that I should switch that on, but it looks like they were wrong. Thanks, I switched off Per-core configs and it fixed the issue. If you already have RetroArch, ensure its updated to the latest version. Firstly, you must download and install the RetroArch emulator from its official website. I did use that guide, was the first thing I did. Setting Up RetroArch DS Core DeSmuME Download RetroArch. It has parameters specifically for adjusting borders. In the end I ended up using the Retroarch Desmume core which the last time I used it (a while ago) didn't suffer from that bug/issue. I found an easy way to cut borders using the image-adjustment shader. which for most people is not likely going to happen. With retroarch, anything over 3x resolution (with all texture filtering settings turned off) and Im getting. Im using the standalone emulator with internal resolution at 5x, 4x texture filtering, texture deposterization, etc, and getting a constant 60 fps. Hmmm unless you enabled per-core configs it should always respect the settings from retroarch.cfg I believe most people suggest patching the code with a line that forces it to go black and then compiling the code (if I recall that is). i5 6600k overclocked to 4.5 GHz GTX 1070 16 GB RAM.
